2012 The Long Winter
Laura Ingalls and her family bravely face the long winter of 1880-81 in Dakota Territory. Blizzards cover the little town with snow, cutting off all supplies and soon there is almost no food left. The little town pulls together to survive and soon spring arrives. Finally in May, a joyous Christmas is celebrated in a very unusual way. “The Long Winter” is a heart warming story of Laura Ingalls and her family’s joys and struggles as they settle the Dakota prairie. Please, join us as we bring this unforgettable story to life!
