Celebrate! De Smet
Celebrate! De Smet was an event to celebrate all the good things happening in De Smet and to honor those who were responsible for them. One goal of the De Smet Young Guns is to hold events that cater to all generations. It is important for both younger people and ‘wiser’ people to connect. That’s how our community will continue thriving while staying true to our roots. The evening included an awards presentation, dinner from Countryview Catering, décor from Hitch Design Studio, a performance by the De Smet High School Show Choir, and live entertainment by Eclipse. Tickets were sold out two weeks prior to the event.
Each year, the Young Guns Halloween party is a fantastic event with incredible costumes. The entire community old & young (over 21) is invited attend and celebrate this spooky event on October 31st. Prizes are given out for the best costumes. Be creative!
Day of Caring
Young Guns and the De Smet School planned a Day of Caring in De Smet last Spring. It was a great chance for the entire community to come together and spruce up our wonderful town.
Family Potluck Pinic & Summer Games
This is an event for the whole family event in Washington Park. Families and indivduals come together to hotdogs, buns and bottled water at this beautiful location. Over 100 people attended the family picnic in the past. Thanks to our grill-master, Cory Beck for serving up the hot dogs! The weather was beautiful and it was fun getting together with our kids.
Get ready for a "Wilder Night." This is a successful Young Guns event you won't want to miss! Sample South Dakota's finest wines and brews while enjoying live music and Hors D'oeuvres from Countryview Catering.
