The De Smet Library and Story Time
Monday, September 26, 2016
Who among us doesn’t remember story time at our local library? With wide eyes, we listened to stories about adventure, princes and princesses, and animated characters of all description. For many of us, these moments were amongst our earliest memories, leaving lasting impressions and helping to form our young minds.
The De Smet Library has made sure to continue the story time tradition. Each third Thursday of the month between September and April, there’s story time set aside for preschoolers at 12:45pm.
But that’s not all the De Smet library has to offer. There’s a Summer Reading Program for kids that runs from May through July. For adults, there’s available Wi-Fi, computers for use, and a fax and copy service. There are also book discussions, The De Smet News on microfilm, plus magazines, CDs and DVDs. E-books are now available as well!
The De Smet Library is one of the community’s greatest assets! It helps broaden the horizons of all who use it and opens the door to new and different worlds. Don’t forget to ask about checking books out from home through the South Dakota Titles To Go program!
