A new $4.5 million Technology Center opened in 2003 and houses the Satellite Communications and Telecommunications programs. Additionally, a 180 seat amphitheatre is available for businesses and industries to provide training for staff, clients or the public. A new uplink truck keeps students busy learning about and providing mobile communications services. The Digital Dakota Network, an integral part of the statewide distance learning network, is maintained by MTI technicians. MTI offers 29 programs in five career areas: Agriculture, Business, Food Service, Health, and Trade and Technical.
