De Smet Parks & Swimming Pool

De Smet offers plenty of places to play. We have several wonderful parks, with a variety of playground dquipment. Enjoy a sand volleyball court, disc golf, horseshoe pits and picnic facilities.

De Smet was named for Father De Smet, a Jesuit missionary who spent his life among the Indians. A statue in his honor stands in Washington Park.
