Have you considered holding your event in our new beautiful Event Center? We have a great location being centrally located in the eastern one- half of South Dakota and have received rave reviews about our facilities. We have a spacious large room with beautiful windows that seats over 400 peope at round tables. It has a stage for presentations of any sort or performing group. It is the perfect venue for weddings, conferences, concerts, reunions, trade shows, benefits, meetings and get-togethers of any size or nature.We also have a 150 seat theater for conference presentations and 3 break- out rooms or the large exhibit hall that can be separated out with partitions for break- outs or exhibitor booths. The individual rooms are available for meetings for full days, half days or even just hours, if you need a quick place to meet someone. We also have wellness facilities with daily membership as well as various membership packages, visit our Wellness Center page for more information about the packages and rates. Our walking track is free for anyone to use at any time, so stop in and get your exercise on your noon hour or any time.

The Event Center is open nights and weekends for special events.
The City of De Smet and the Event Center Advisory Board have determined that it is time for some ‘concrete action’ for the parking lot at the Community Center Complex, including the Event Center, football and track field, baseball diamonds and Washington Park. A triple-play plan has been put together to challenge three components of our area to raise matching funds for a minimum total of $30,000 to complete the first segment of concrete.
