Youth Boys Baseball and Girls Softball
De Smet offers summer youth baseball for all ages.
Practices begin in May and are held at the Washington Park baseball field.
Registration forms are available in April.

Madison Avenue Dance Studio offers classes for all skill levels ages 3 to 8th grade.
Class placement is based both on age and ability.
Classes are held twice a month at the De Smet Event & Wellness Center from September through May.

The De Smet Event & Wellness Center offers wellness opportunities for all ages. The center features an indoor walking track and wellness room. Contact Kristy Hubbard at 605-854-6060 for hours and information.
The Get Fit offers 24-hour access to a newly remodeled fitness center.
Monthly, semi-annual, and annual memberships are availalbe.

Several races are held throughout the year. The Wilder Run 5K/10K is held in June during Old Settler's weekend and the Spirit Lake Road Race is held on the 4th of July.

De Smet offers a pristine 9-hole golf course on the southwest edge of town.
Membership dues are 1/2 price the first year!
League nights are always well attended and popular through the summer.

The De Smet swimming pool is located on Loftus Avenue.
The pool opens June 12, 2015 and closes the middle of August.
Pool hours are Sunday - Friday: 1-4:45 p.m. & 7-8:45 p.m. Saturday: 1-4:45 p.m.

The De Smet Super Deluxe offers indoor swimming year-round.
The Snowdrifters snowmobile club meets the third Wednesday of every month. The club grooms and maintains a 160-mile trail that covers De Smet to Oldham to Ramona, which includes Lake Preston to Arlington and Lake Poinsett to Bryant up to Willow Lake and as far west as Iroquois. Dues are only $25.00 for fun and enjoyment.
